Centered Wallpaper
You may have to change your wall paper setting from tiled to centered.
The images for wallpaper have not been compressed so that you can have as much detail as possible on your desktop. The images for large centered wallpaper may take a long time to download from the net, but they will work quickly on your desktop. If you want to use one and you have a slow connection you'll have to be patient.
If you want to completely cover your desktop first ckeck your screen area. In windows select Start, Settings, Control Panel, Display, Settings and you should see a screen area amount at the bottom right corner of the window. Click the same numbers below a picture, when the image has downloaded right-click the image and select Set as Wallpaper. If you don't get the right size right away, experiment. People downloading 1600x1200 image may find it too pixilated. If you have this problem please let me know.
