About the Tie-Dye Bazaar

The tie-dye bazaar is a collection of individual tie-dye pieces. Each piece is photographed and logged. Then it is folded, labeled by number, and placed in a stack in a plastic container. The Bazaar now has almost 1000 items in many categories, and takes up 19 plastic containers.
NO SIZE EXCHANGES
Because these are individual items there are no size exchanges, but our return policy applies and they can be returned for credit or refund. I can often make a shirt like one in the Bazaar, but that is a custom order, not a size exchange. This is very important, because many of these items are discounted, and I depend on the efficiency of just pulling it out of the container and shipping it. This helps make up some of the cost of photographing each piece. So No Size Exchanges.
Inventory Errors
With nearly 1000 items it's impossible to eliminate all inventory errors so I have to cancel an item occasionally. These errors accumulate over time so I re-inventory every few months.
The Photographs
These photographs were made quickly, and many of them could use some correction, but I need to keep handling to a minimum. Generally if the background of the photo is dark the shirt will be quite a bit brighter. The shirts are always better than the photos.
The Bazaar Story
About four years ago I decided I had to do something about the boxes of pieces that were not directly for sale on the site. I had shirts that didn't quite make the cut, seconds, experiments, and one-of-a-kind garments. They were filling up my closets, under my bed, and in several corners so I came up with the Tie-Dye Bazaar as a way to offer individual items for sale.
Since then I have found this format very helpful. I've changed garments that I sell more often, experimented more, and tried more new garments knowing that I can sell the results. It makes this business much more flexible. Because I'm moving, I've added many items to the Bazaar so that as soon as we can unload the truck and plug in the computer they can go up for sale.
