Measurement Guide


 I had to do some searching to find the best way to measuring clothing. eBay insists on using "rise" for measuring pants. Rise measures from the crotch to the top of the pants. I've decided to use the simpler method of including the rise in the length of the pants. If you want to know what the rise is subtract the inseam from the length.


Length is the total length from top to bottom (collars and cuffs are folded as they'll be worn before measuring).

Inseam is used for pants and is the distance from the crotch to the bottom along the inner seam of the pants.

Width is the distance across the waist and is about one half of waist circumference.

Shoulder is measured across from corner to corner.

Neck is the distance across the neck and is about one half of neck circumference.

Skirt Length on a dress means the length from the waist to the bottom.
